Sleeps up to 8 adults ~~ very well suited for up to THREE COUPLES since each of the 3 bedrooms is privately situated from the other bedrooms.
We have ceiling fans AND central air conditioning for your comfort.
PLUS there is a "tea house" ~~ a charming one-room house adjacent to the apple and peach trees.
Suitable for children over 12; sorry, but this is not suitable for pets.

We book for the weekend so come and enjoy Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and until 1:00 on Sunday! 2 nights required for most week nights (Sunday through Thursday nights) unless combining with the weekend.

We will have a lovely fruit bowl waiting for you and lots of choices of tea and coffee.
The Farmhouse has superb well water with an ultra-violet light purifying device, and we also have a Culligan reverse-osmosis water filtering system to supply wonderful-tasting water.
We supply all your sheets and towels. We have brand new beds and linens, plenty of luxurious blankets and pillows, down comforters as well as alternative down comforters, and throws to keep you cozy and comfortable.

Just add $17.00/night + tax per person.
You can have an evening meal delivered consisting of an entree, two side dishes, bread, and dessert from a local catering establishment. (*See menu below, from The Lunch Basket Catering.)

To help us keep our costs down, so that we can offer these special rates for this house, we would prefer payment by check to be received by us at least 4 weeks prior to your stay. Otherwise, we'd be grateful if you would pay by cash when you arrive (due to the high cost of credit card fees). However, we can accept Visa, Master Card, and Discover if you prefer to pay with your credit card.
And when you leave The Farmhouse, we hope you will have enjoyed a very special relaxing time either on your own or with friends and family.

Below are three lists of things to do (1) in historic downtown Staunton,
Virginia, (2) on the outskirts of Staunton, (3) out in the country, and elsewhere in the
beautiful Shenandoah Valley: Things
to do in historic downtown Staunton: We have
many fine dining restaurants, some casual restaurants (4 with outdoor
seating), several coffee shops, a tea house, an ice cream parlor, a gourmet
pizza place and others. There are
2 movie theaters downtown (we have coupons for FREE popcorn) PLUS the
Shakespeare Theater. There are
8 art galleries downtown. Receptions on Friday evenings are very special
and you can meet the artists. Fourth Fridays in Downtown Staunton are
lively events. The art galleries are open late and some provide live music,
food, and of course beautiful art. Enjoy
live glass blowing at one of the galleries downtown. There is
a FREE walking tour of the historic downtown area on Saturday mornings. There are
special guided tours of historic Staunton, available by appointment. The
Farmers' Market is located downtown: Saturday mornings from April -
October. The FREE
TROLLEY goes past our B&B, over to the city park, and all around downtown
(about a 25-minute loop, which runs continuously throughout the day)! There are
FREE concerts in the park in July and August (Monday - Thursday evenings). There are
many other special events in Downtown Staunton throughout the year! We
update our guests on events in the area as published in the "GO Magazine" --
which lists events not only in Staunton but in the surrounding towns as
well. * * * Things
to do in and around the City of Staunton: Visit The
Frontier Culture Museum at the edge of town (approximately an hour walking
tour of 1600's, 1700's, and 1800's farmhouses, barns, and gardens from
several European countries as well as an African home and an early American
home). Tour the
gardens of Andre Viette's Farm and Nursery Wade's
Mill is an interesting place to visit and the drive through the country is
beautiful There are
many vineyards to explore including a recently-opened one just outside of
Staunton. There are
numerous antique shops between Staunton and Harrisonburg. Enjoy the drive
and stop all along the way. (One antique center has over 100 dealers!) There are
antique shops in Stuarts Draft and Waynesboro, which are neighboring towns. There is
another Farmers' Market on Wednesday mornings in Verona, a neighboring town
(in addition to the Farmers' Market which is downtown on Saturday mornings). * * * Things
to do within a 30-minute to 45-minute drive from Staunton in the beautiful
Shenandoah Valley: There are
many wineries (we have a coupon for free wine tastings at one of them) to
visit throughout the Shenandoah Valley and others are just across the
mountain in Central Virginia. Beautiful
caves are throughout the Shenandoah Valley. Drive
along the Skyline Drive and/or The Blue Ridge Parkway. There are
hiking trails along the parkways (with beautiful vistas and lovely
waterfalls).
Monticello is about a 45-minute drive (Charlottesville). The
Virginia Horse Center is about a 30-minute drive (Lexington). Cross the
beautiful mountains west of Staunton for a special scenic drive. The
annual Maple Festival in Monterey is quite special. There are
many colleges and universities in all the towns and cities nearby. Staunton
is centrally located between Harrisonburg and Lexington, with
Charlottesville to the east, and Monterey to our west.
