A separate historic CARRIAGE HOUSE features a newly-renovated interior.  This carriage house suite consists of two floors: a living room, exposed beams, and an open staircase (with a balcony) to the second floor king-sized bedroom plus an additional sitting area overlooking the gardens. Additional sleeping is provided with a sleeper sofa in the living room.  We've also included a microwave and small refrigerator, as well as a dining area.  There is central air conditioning and a free-standing fireplace.  Everything is NEW on the inside; the exterior is the 150-year-old original brick.

An extraordinary B&B suite for anyone

This photo shows the trolley (which is always free) just ready to stop at the B & B, which is located in the historic downtown area.  The Staunton Choral Gardens Bed and Breakfast is also on the Historic Staunton self-guided walking tour.  

Directions:

From the north, take Exit 225 off I-81 (Woodrow Wilson Parkway); follow signs to the Woodrow Wilson birthplace and to Historic Downtown Staunton and Mary Baldwin College;  turn right onto Frederick Street.

From the south, take Exit 222 off I-81 (State Route 250 West); follow signs to the Woodrow Wilson birthplace and to Historic Downtown Staunton, and Mary Baldwin College, which will put you onto Coalter Street.  At the intersection of Coalter Street and Frederick Street, turn left onto Frederick Street.

We are in the sixth block, on the left side of the street:  red brick house, black shutters, boxwoods -- 216 West Frederick Street.
